FAQ

How do I oil my cutting board/chopping block?

To oil your cutting board/chopping block, first, wipe any debris off of your board using a wet cloth, then let air dry or dry with a dry cloth. Next, use mineral oil only, with preferably a micro-fiber cloth, and apply enough oil to your cloth or board to cover the whole board, the sides, and the flip side, without any gaps or unoiled spots. Then, let the board sit until dry, then it is ready for use again!

How often should I oil my board?

You should oil your board about 1-2 times per week for the first month. After that start oiling your board progressively less, or until the board starts to feel dry or rough. If your board is not soaking up the oil, you are oiling it too much.

Do I need to oil epoxy-coated products?

No, you do not. The oil will just stand on the surface and not soak through. If you would like your product to have a nice, oiled look you should choose the oiled+epoxy option.

Can I wash my board in a dishwaher?

No, you cannot.

What type of oil should I use?

You should use food-safe 100% mineral oil, HERE is a link to amazon for some.
