Wood types

These are the most frequent wood types we use

Exotic

Sapele: $, very pretty, solid colored brown wood, looks golden when oiled

Peruvian Walnut: $$, slightly darker than black walnut, brown with black streaks

Purpleheart: $$, hard, dark purple, pretty in small amounts separating different woods

Jatoba: $$, also known as Brazilian Cherry, medium brown, very hard and looks great when oiled

Walnut: $$$, our specialty, darker brown, beautiful when oiled, great as a main wood in your board

Mahogany: $$$, very similar to cherry, a solid brown color

Bloodwood: $$$, 20th hardest wood in the world, extremely dark red color, good in small amounts

Paduak: $$$, bright red wood, pretty when oiled, very hard and good value for the price

Leopardwood: $$$$, brown with leopard-like splotches, looks good with lighter woods

Yellow Heart: $$$$, yellowish gold wood, good in small amounts

Zebrawood: $$$$, a tan wood with dark stripes

Wenge: $$$$$, almost solid black, great for separating different woods

Cherry: $, reddish brown wood

Quarter-Sawn-Oak: $$, light brown, cut at a different angle (Quartered) with lines running through it
